3.5cupsof all purpose flour
Garlic Butter Topping:
4tbspbutter
2tbspminced garlic
pinchof salt
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
2. Pour warm water into a mixing bowl and add the yeast.
3. After the yeast has become bubby add in the oil, honey and egg. Mix to combine.
4. Once the wet ingredients are well combined, add in the salt, garlic powder, italian seasoning and flour.
5. Using a dough hook, gently mix together until a soft dough forms. Once the dough begins to pull away from the sides of the bowl, turn out onto a floured surface. The dough will be very soft.
6. Roll dough into a log. Cut into twelve equal pieces.
7. Roll each piece into a rope and then fold into knots. Continue until all pieces have been shaped.
8. Place the knots onto a greased baking sheet and let rise for up to 10 minutes or until oven is preheated.
9. While the knots are rising, make the garlic butter topping.
10. In a small saucepan melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, add a pinch of salt and minced garlic. Stir gently until the garlic becomes very fragrant. Remove from heat.
11. Once the oven has come to temperature brush the knots with half of the garlic butter and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
12. Remove from oven and immediately brush the knots with the remaining garlic butter.
Serve warm with your favorite marinara sauce. Enjoy!
